Wyglinski Becomes Vice-President of WPI Chapter of Sigma Xi

During the Sigma Xi induction ceremony on 2 April 2012 at WPI, Professor Wyglinski was sworn in as the Vice President of the WPI chapter of Sigma Xi for the 2012-2013 academic year.

About Sigma Xi
Sigma Xi was founded in 1886 to honor excellence in scientific investigation and encourage a sense of companionship and cooperation among researchers in all fields of science and engineering.

Today, Sigma Xi is an international, multidisciplinary research society whose programs and activities promote the health of the scientific enterprise and honor scientific achievement.  There are nearly 60,000 Sigma Xi members in more than 100 countries around the world.  Sigma Xi chapters, more than 500 in all, can be found at college and universities, industrial research centers and government laboratories.  The Society endeavors to encourage support of original work across the spectrum of science and technology and to promote an appreciation within society at large for the role research has played in human progress.

Wyglinski Receives Sigma Xi Outstanding Researcher and Scholarship Award

The WPI Sigma XI Officers have presented Professor Wyglinski with the 2012 Sigma Xi Outstanding Junior Faculty Researcher Award. This award was presented at the Sigma Xi induction ceremony scheduled on Monday, April 2, 2012 from 12:00- 1:15 in the Campus Center, Odeum. Congratulations Professor!
