After seven intensive weeks of mastering digital communication concepts and taming the USRP2 software-defined radio platform, ten student teams successfully concluded their course design project for ECE4305 “Software-Defined Radio Systems and Analysis” with a demonstration of their prototype ad hoc wireless network implementation that entirely uses the USRP2 and custom-built software. Professor Wyglinski hosted Professor Murat Alanyali from Boston University during his visit to the Wireless Innovation Laboratory in March 2011. Moreover, Professor Alanyali gave a presentation, entitled: “A look at the economics of dynamic spectrum access: Pricing for profitability” as part of the WPI ECE Graduate Seminar Series.
