Short Technical Papers Sought for VTC 2015-Fall!
The 82nd IEEE Vehicular Technology Conference (IEEE VTC 2015 Fall) is seeking 2-page work-in-progress paper submissions in the areas of wireless, mobile, and vehicular technology. NEWSDR 2015 a Success!
The objective of the Fifth New England Workshop on Software Defined Radio (NEWSDR 2015) was to bring together individuals interested in SDR implementations and applications from across New England to a single venue in order to share ideas and brainstorm together, to network with each other and seek out collaborative opportunities, and to foster an SDR community within our geographical area. Based on the event turn-out (over 75 attendees) and feedback we have received, NEWSDR 2015 was definitely a success! Google, Dominant in Search, Tries Disruptor Role in Wireless and Broadband
Call it the Google paradox. Last month, the European Union’s antitrust chief accused Google of abusing its dominant market power in web searches. A week later, Google announced it was entering the wireless service market in the United States, threatening to disrupt one of America’s most concentrated industries. Meantime, it is expanding its superhigh-speed broadband Internet service to as many as 34 cities, taking on another market so concentrated that the government recently derailed the proposed Comcast-Time Warner Cable merger.
