The Boston Software Defined Radio User Group, or SDR-Boston, was founded in 2010 with the objective of facilitating the bringing together
of individuals interested in software defined radio technology within the New England area. By organizing events such as the NEWSDR workshop series and sharing information via its listserv and the Emissions newsletter, it is expected that the latest findings and the exchange of ideas between SDR experts would yield further advances in this emerging area.
